Avian Influenza

• Humans aren't the main organism on this earth that  contracts this disease.
• Avian influenza has killed a couple hundred humans (despite the pandemic warning in 2005), but has killed thousands of birds.
• It feels like the seasonal flu,but can give you major problems with your health.
• Since 2003, only 245 people died from this
• Indonesia is the main country that gets H5N1 (Avian Influenza) with the most cases and most deaths
• It is transmitted by nasal droplets and in the feces
• The most worst outbreak of the disease was spread in 2 countries England and Romania 
• Even though it was not properly tested, kimchi was used to fight off the disease. it was given to 11 chickens and all of 2 of them  got better.
• There is a vaccine, but they do not give it out at local hospitals.  But if there is an outbreak, they will start giving it out.
• People 18 through 65 are more likely enough to get it because it targets better immune systems, but also affects children.
• The CDC is trying to not let the disease spread all around America like it is in Indonesia.
• The WHO is also trying to find out a vaccine for all people who catch this disease.
